The job cuts at deep-web explorer Vocativ announced today affect the entire text-based editorial staff, which has been laid off as the company shifts to a video-only site.
The announcement came in the sixth paragraph of an all-staff email that was sent out today after a staff meeting where the news was first shared. The preceding paragraphs set up the company’s all-video shift, leading to the bad news:
