Uber Slams Mayor de Blasio in New Messaging Campaign

Uber officially got aggressive with its plan to “disrupt” the New York City taxi industry this week, debuting a TV ad and a fake app service designed to take direct aim at Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The mayor wants to legally limit the number of official licenses available to companies like Uber and Lyft, and the former displayed its trademark lack of subtlety in this TV ad, which positions the mayor as (surprise, surprise) a job killer:

Driving for Uber may or may not constitute a full-time job, depending on whether you ask the company itself or a third party…and the 10,000 jobs number is Uber’s own.
