Twitter Bolsters Audience-Based Ad Targeting

Marketers can create lists from email addresses and mobile numbers


Twitter has expanded its tailored audiences capabilities, with some of the tools designed to let Promoted Tweet advertisers more easily create consumer segments and manage existing lists not only with email addresses but with mobile telephone numbers as well.

According to the San Francisco-based company, a key part of the updates is the look-alike-only targeting function: It allows marketers to find new users who are the most similar to existing users and have already downloaded apps.
