Twitter To Build Tech Learning Center For Low-Income Families

Twitter has announced a recent partnership with San Francisco-based non-profit Compass Family Services. The two organizations will build a learning center to teach technology and other skills to low-income and homeless families in San Francisco.

As SF Gate reports, this goodwill initiative will not only see Twitter donate over $1 million over the course of several years, but it will also offer up its employees time as volunteers to teach families.

The learning center is called Twitter Neighborhood Nest, and its location, while still being determined, will likely be close to Twitter’s Mid-Market headquarters as well as Compass’ clients.
