Twitter Just Gave Its Users a Way to Block the Dox

They can specify when personal information is included in tweets they are reporting

Twitter is taking steps to help its users protect themselves from doxxing by giving them the ability to provide more information when reporting tweets.

Users who click on Report Tweet and then select “It’s abusive or harmful” now have access to an “Includes private information” option, which enables them to let Twitter know exactly what information is included in the tweet.

Choices include phone number, email address, home address, physical location (GPS coordinates), financial account information, government-issued ID or ID numbers.

Twitter said in a Twitter Safety tweet, “We want to move faster in reviewing reported tweets that share personal information.”
