Twitter Just Added Several Advanced Filters So Users Can Control Their Notifications

These new advanced filters join the notifications filters Twitter introduced in March

Twitter Monday unveiled a host of options giving users more control over the notifications they receive from the social network.

A Twitter Safety tweet (embedded below) provided a link to this support page, which revealed that Twitter users can now block notifications from:

  • Accounts that are new (that you don’t follow).
  • Accounts that don’t follow you (that you don’t follow).
  • Accounts you don’t follow.
  • Accounts with a default profile photo (that you don’t follow).
  • Accounts without a confirmed email address (that you don’t follow).
