The Yes Men Were Tipped Off About Chevron Campaign

Last week, news broke about the Chevron campaign spoof that included a fake website, fake press releases, and other false initiatives. This week, The Yes Men and their partners are revealing how they got information to organize the alternate “We Agree” campaign.

The Yes Men received two major tips according to Ad Age: a casting call that blogger Laura Selman describes on The Huffington Post and a heads up from an artist, Cesar Maxit, who was approached by Chevron’s agency McGarryBowen to create posters for the real campaign.
