The Warriors and Raptors Dominated the NBA Socially, Too, in May

Unmetric analyzed its cross-channel reports for all 30 teams

The two teams competing for the Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy dominated among National Basketball Association teams on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in May, according to social marketing firm Unmetric.

The Toronto Raptors posted the highest growth across all three social platforms, also leading Twitter and Instagram in engagement, Instagram in total posts and Twitter in comments.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors tallied the most likes across the three social platforms, led Facebook and Instagram in comments and posted the most on Facebook.

Unmetric examined its cross-channel reports for all 30 NBA teams from May 1 through 31, and it also found that:

  • Highest audience size among the three social platforms was unchanged from April, with the Houston Rockets leading Facebook, while the Warriors paced Twitter and Instagram.
