According to a study done by the Pew Research Center, 69% of social media-using teens think their peers are mostly kind to one another.
According to a study done by the Pew Research Center, 69% of social media-using teens think their peers are mostly kind to one another.
Of the remaining social media-using teens, 20% said their peers are mostly unkind, while the final 11% claimed that “it depends.”
The study, which was administered from April 19 through July 14 of 2011, reached 799 teens and a parent or guardian, and was conducted in English and Spanish.
Other interesting statistics included in the study:
- 88% of social media-using teens have witnessed other people be mean or cruel on social network sites.
