Snapchat is nixing its Our Story local stories for cities in favor of focusing on live moments.
Our Story curated videos of everyday activities shot by users in specific cities, and Snapchat confirmed to Bloomberg that about 15 jobs were lost as a result of the move, saying:
A small number of local story curator positions were eliminated in our Los Angeles and New York offices as the result of changes to our local story coverage. We’re thankful for the contributions from these team members.
