Snap Inc. Poaches P&G’s Craig Stimmel for Its Global Head of Brand Role

He will form a new team focused on scaling large advertisers

Snap Inc. turned to the consumer-packaged-goods sector to fill its new global head of brand role, tapping Procter & Gamble head of digital media and global partnerships Craig Stimmel.

Stimmel revealed that he was leaving P&G in a LinkedIn post earlier this week, but he did not indicate his next move.

Snapchat’s parent company confirmed the hire, saying that Stimmel will form a new team to focus on scaling large advertisers on its platform. He will be based in Chicago and officially join Snap Monday.

Stimmel spent more than eight years at P&G and, in his most recent role, he was responsible for procurement of programmatic, search and ecommerce partnerships for all of the company’s categories, and he worked on investment management in North America and global digital business partnerships.
