Kurt Vonnegut Documentary on the Verge of Being Completed

Conceived way back in 1982, Robert Weide's project is about to reach its Kickstarter goal.

Robert Weide’s documentary about author Kurt Vonnegut began production in 1988. The pair boarded a train at Grand Central Station bound for Buffalo and spent the eight-hour journey talking.

All these years later, it looks like Weide, together with Don Argott, is finally going to get to complete the film. At press time, Weide, who in the intervening years has executive produced Curb Your Enthusiasm and so much more, is a little less than three thousand short of an ambitious Kickstarter goal of $250,000.
