Rap Genius Music App Brings Lyric Interpretation to Mobile Music Player
The controversial, user submitted music interpretation site, Rap Genius has a new app and it’s a perfect companion to lyric lovers and song interpreters. The app allows you to browse song meanings, including those being played by iTunes, or even those in the real world. Like Shazzam, when you hear music in the real world, you can just let your phone listen and ID a song for you, then join in on the discussion about the art of lyricism and its limitless meaning of that particular tune.
In a particularly self-congratulatory press announcement, the lyric site referred to their app as a pocket guide to human culture, among other things:
