Facebook introduced three new features for publishers creating Facebook Live videos: persistent stream keys, cross-posting and Live Rewind.

Facebook Live product manager Matt Labunka detailed the new features in a blog post, saying that daily average broadcasts from verified publisher pages are up 1.5 times over the past year.

Persistent stream keys enable publishers that frequently broadcast via Facebook Live to send one permanent stream key to production teams, in advance of shoots, enabling them to collaborate across teams and locations.

Labunka wrote, “Publishers and creators who frequently use the Live API [application-programming interface] have requested a more simplified stream setup process, and we’ve rolled out the ability to use a persistent stream key with an encoder when going live on Facebook.”
