Pokemon Go's AR+ Mode Will Introduce Updated Augmented Reality Gameplay on iOS

Three new features are coming soon

Pokemon Go players running iOS 11 on iPhone 6S and newer will soon be able to experience new gameplay features with the introduction of AR+.

AR+ uses Apple’s ARKit to offer new features for players who capture Pokemon while using the game’s augmented reality functionality, which makes Pokemon appear as though they’re in the real world.

First, AR+ will allow Pokemon to appear in a more true-to-life size than before. Niantic explained this change in a blog post: “With AR+, Pokemon are now fixed to a point in space, meaning that you can walk up close to a Pokemon to see to how they’ll look in the real world.
