Niantic will host both in-game and real-world events around the world this summer

To start, an in-game Solstice Event will begin at 1 p.m. PT June 13 and it will run until 1 p.m. PT June 20. During this event, players will have increased encounter rates of Fire- and Ice-type Pokemon, and they’ll also earn extra experience points when they achieve special Poke Ball throws when capturing Pokemon (Curveballs, Nice Throws, Great Throws and more).
