Pinterest joined Twitter, Facebook, Messenger and LinkedIn in the lite application mix, rolling out Pinterest Lite this week.
Pinterest Lite is basically a downloadable version of the Progressive Web App Pinterest began developing in July 2017, and the slimmed-down app takes less time to download and occupies less storage space on users’ Android devices.
A previous version of Pinterest Lite had been available via the Google Play Store in late 2016 and early 2017.
The new Pinterest Lite is available in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
