Octagon Broadens Focus to Full Service, Names Azher Ahmed Digital Head

The agency wants to be recognized for more than sports and marketing

Octagon is broadening its focus from sports and entertainment marketing to more of a full-service creative agency and has tapped digital marketing veteran Azher Ahmed to help achieve that profile. Ahmed joins Octagon from DDB, where he spent the last decade in a variety of executive roles, including the last two years as its chief digital officer.

Azher’s new role includes overseeing Octagon’s strategy, digital marketing and content efforts for brand clients including ABinBev, Mastercard, Playstation and General Mills.
