The National Football League continued to dominate the Nielsen Social Content Ratings for the week of Oct. 2, but the Major League Baseball playoffs carved out a niche.

NFL games accounted for seven of the top 10 televised sporting events for the week, including the top two: the visiting Green Bay Packers‘ stunning victory over the host Dallas Cowboys on Fox, with 8.608 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter; and the Indianapolis Colts’ overtime victory over the visiting San Francisco 49ers, also on Fox (3.955
