Messaging apps are on the rise and video is the next big thing. A new app called Samba combines the two with a video messaging platform that also records the reactions of people watching the videos.

All users have to do is record a video and “flick” to send. The friend’s reaction is recording while they watch the video and is automatically sent back. The idea is for users to actually see the authentic reaction to the message, and power a new kind of asynchronous communication.

“Samba offers a new experience that mimics human behavior and kicks it up a notch,” said Samba Founder and CEO Barak Hachamov in the release announcing the news.
