YouTube has become a major hub for discovering musical acts, from Justin Bieber to Carley Rae Jepsen and, most recently, Psy.  The latest episode of The Stylish’s ‘In Focus: YouTube Sensation’ series takes a look at one musician, violinist Lindsey Stirling, that catapulted to fame on YouTube after being rejected by America’s Got Talent and every major record label.

Lindsey Stirling is known for her unique style of violin playing, which includes a lot of dancing, fun costumes and scenic backdrops.  Her most popular video, Dubstep Violin, has racked up over 31 million views and her channel as a whole has got nearly 150 million views to its name—that’s more than many mainstream artists, including Taylor Swift.  Copies of her music are flying off the virtual shelves, she’s currently on her first tour, which is sold out everywhere, and she’s become a household name among the YouTube community.
