Messenger Platform Update Beefs Up Capabilities of Private Replies

A dynamic persistent menu and composer is being beta-tested

Facebook issued the latest release of Messenger Platform Tuesday, and Messenger for Business product marketing manager Shankar Venkataraman detailed all the updates in a blog post.

Businesses can now add images, templates and quick replies to private replies responding to posts and comments on their pages. Private replies had previously been text-only.

Facebook is also beta-testing a dynamic persistent menu and composer to give businesses the chance to personalize conversations with customers at the user level. Relevant menu options will be provided at different points in the customer journey.
