Messenger From Facebook Adds a Business Inbox

It complements the social network’s Page Manager app

Messenger From Facebook is getting a new business inbox that will allow businesses to easily respond to customer messages via the application and users to easily toggle between business and personal accounts.

The business inbox began rolling out on iOS Tuesday and will be added to Android in the coming weeks.

Messenger product manager Mike Weingert said in a blog post that Facebook’s research determined that more than 90% of business administrators on the platform already use Messenger to communicate with friends and family, and many do not want to download and manage multiple apps.

Weingert also cited a survey from HubSpot finding that 90% of customers believe immediate responses from businesses are important or very important when they have questions related to sales and marketing, such as queries regarding store hours, product availability and options for delivery and pickup.
