The Time Inc. turnover continues. The latest incident involves Matt Bean, editor of Entertainment Weekly for almost exactly one year. According to The New York Post, Bean is out as EW’s editor, but will be offered another corporate role at the company. Henry Goldblatt, a veteran of EW, will replace Bean. He was most recently with People.
Apparently Bean is out because he butted heads with Jess Cagle, who Bean replaced at EW. Cagle was given the role of editorial director of People and EW, but was effectively still making all the calls on EW.
