Tech news site Mashable has sacked its editor-at-large, Ben Parr. AllThingsD reports that the writer and entrepreneur confirmed his departure on Monday.
Parr's bio on Mashable has now been updated to describe him as the site's "former editor-at-large."
"Ben is currently working on a yet-to-be-announced project," the site says.
Parr joined Mashable in August 2008. AllThingsD says Mashable limited its official response to a single sentence “confirming the terms of departure were termination."
Emails sent to Parr's Mashable account now receive an automated response: "Ben Parr is no longer with Mashable."
