Livestreaming service Twitch will attempt to entertain people who are socially distancing and raise some money at the same time with its Twitch Stream Aid global charity event, which will be livestreamed Saturday (March 28) starting at noon ET.
The 12-hour charity livestream will benefit the World Health Organization’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund, with all proceeds and donations going to that fund, and it will feature stars from gaming, music and sports, along with special guests.
Fortnite and Uno competitions will be part of the livestream, with talent including Joe Jonas, Lost Kings and Drew Taggart from The Chainsmokers will play games throughout the event as part of the Twitch Rivals program.
There will be musical performances by artists including Die Antwoord, Diplo, Krewella, Lauv, Charlie Puth, Jordin Sparks and Cole Swindell during breaks in the action.
