LinkedIn introduced three “new” features for its mobile application that are standard in most social apps: the ability for users to control their feeds, save articles for later and search for relevant content.
Director of product Jeff Birkeland introduced the new features in a blog post.
The LinkedIn app’s new feed controls allow users to click the three dots in the top-right corner of posts in their feed to take actions including indicating interest in topics, following leaders and publications and unfollowing or hiding updates from connections.
The bookmark icon in the bottom-right corner of posts enables users to save articles and access them for later reading under their “Me” tabs.
And the app’s search box now enables users to search for articles by topic or hashtag.
Birkeland added:
These features were designed to help you stay informed on topics that matter to you.
