The great Kate Lanphear experiment at Maxim is officially over. Lanphear is stepping down as editor in chief, effective Nov. 13.
Lanphear came to Maxim from T: The New York Times Style Magazine just over a year ago. It was an interesting choice, and god bless Lanphear for trying, but it just wasn’t a good match.
Lanphear offered her best well wishes, but we imagine her future will likely be brighter than Maxim’s.
“Working at Maxim has truly been a rewarding experience,” said Lanphear, in a statement.
