It didn’t take Juana Summers long to find a new place to land. Beginning Monday, the former Mashable politics editor is joining CNN Politics in the same role.
Summers found herself out at Mashable after CEO Pete Cashmore announced a major change in strategy that included cutting the politics team, which Summers had joined last July.
Prior to joining Mashable, Summers has been a congressional reporter at NPR. “She’s also a wonderful former colleague from Politico where she covered the 2012 election as well as defense policy and veterans affairs,” writes CNN Politics executive editor Rachel Smolkin in an email to staff.
