Did you know that Instagram allows you to customize your ad topic preferences so you’re shown fewer ads related to specific topics, such as “Social issues, elections or politics?” While setting one of these preferences doesn’t guarantee that you’ll never see another ad of that type, it will cause you to see “fewer ads” about those topics.
Our guide will show you how to see fewer political ads in the Instagram application.

Step 1: On your profile, tap the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Tap “Settings.”
Step 3: Tap “Ads.”
Step 4: Tap “Ad Topic Preferences.”
Step 5: Tap the circle to the right of “Social Issues, Elections or Politics.”
Step 6: Tap “Save” in the top-right corner of the screen to save your preferences.
