To the question of whether Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold would receive a Pulitzer Prize, as many had expected him to, the answer was yes, as administrator Mike Pride announced the 2017 Pulitzer Prize winners today at Columbia University in New York. Fahrenthold received the Pulitzer for national reporting for his work attempting to track Donald Trump and the Trump Foundation’s charitable giving.
