Harry Potter and the Lockdown at Home: Spotify Brings the Wizarding World to Listeners

Sorcerer's Stone gets the Hollywood treatment (again) with star-studded readings

Nearly 20 years after the first Harry Potter movie was released, self-proclaimed Potterheads will be able to hear a voice familiar to the wizarding community.

As part of a program called Harry Potter at Home, to expand the franchise and make it more accessible to those quarantined during the coronavirus pandemic, Daniel Radcliffe (the actor who played Potter on-screen) will read Chapter 1: The Boy Who Lived, from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Book chapters will be released weekly through the end of June, and the audio series can be found on Spotify, the streamer’s new standalone kids app and on the Harry Potter at Home site.
