Super Bowl Averages Over Half Million Streamers Per Minute

Fox claims largest sporting event in Web history

Last night's Super Bowl did surprisingly well in the ratings, considering it was a blowout from the start.  The game averaged 115.5 million viewers, according to Nielsen. And Fox says another half a million watched online.

Officially, according to Adobe Analytics, Fox's live stream of Super Bowl XLVIII averaged 528,000 viewers. According to Fox, that's the biggest live stream of a sporting event in history (a number that is hard to prove, though it would seem to top recent Summer Olympics and March Madness streams).
