Gabriel Stricker Is Out as Twitter’s Chief Comms Officer

The statement from Twitter on the issues won't give you the warm and fuzzies.

One of the first moves Twitter made today under Jack Dorsey‘s interim leadership was to part ways with head of communications Gabriel Stricker.

“It continues to be essential that we show the world the value of Twitter. Communications is a key component of that, and to help build toward a stronger future, we are looking now to shift our communications strategy and direction,”  a spokesperson told Re/Code. The article adds that the company has had issues presenting “a cogent message” to the public, which is critical to its growth on all fronts.

The article suspects that Adam Bain, the head of sales, could be a frontrunner to take the vacancy. At TechCrunch, they say Carolyn Penner is a contender. She heads up the comms for Vine and has been with the company since 2010.

Stricker came to Twitter after leading communications at Google.
