Fox News Terminates Contracts With Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum

Both failed to make an announcement by Fox's May 1 deadline

Fox News has terminated its contracts with both former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., sources told Politico. The network had given the two contributors, both of whom have been publicly flirting with presidential runs, a May 1 deadline to announce an official bid, but the cutoff passed without either man throwing his hat in the ring.

Back in March, the news network suspended Santorum and Gingrich without pay while they decided whether to run for president.
