Felix Dennis Purchases Mental Floss For Seven Figures

British magazine publisher Felix Dennis has agreed to acquire the bimonthly trivia magazine Mental_Floss and has plans to expand, not shrink, the brand, the WSJ reports.

Dennis, who served as publisher of Maxim, Stuff, and Blender before selling those titles in 2007, has just one U.S. title remaining: The Week. While reading his own magazine last August, he saw an ad for Mental_Floss…that eventually led to a purchase of this “magazine which I don’t know how to describe,” as Dennis puts it.
