Family Dollar is the latest retailer to launch a media network, allowing the discount chain to work more closely with brands and allows those partner brands better access to customers.

Family Dollar’s media network, called Chesapeake Media Group, will enable CPG brands to offer dynamic ad placements, targeted content, sponsored searches and product recommendations. In return Family Dollar gets what it calls a piece of the “fast-growing, multi-billion dollar CPG engagement space.”
Family Dollar has teamed up with supermarket operating system Swiftly Systems and personalized advertising platform Aki Technologies to build out Chesapeake.
