Facebook's New Permissions Dialog Goes Live On All Applications

Today Facebook will be formerly announcing the official roll out of the new permissions dialog to all applications. Developers that haven’t made the switch could see their applications fail, if not implemented by July 14th. The new permissions system consolidates all requests to a single dialog box. We’ve covered the shift extensively over the past few weeks as it applies to developers, however all users will see the shift take place later today.

Bret Taylor will have a post going live shortly that articulates the shift to the new permissions as users will see them:

With this new authorization process, when you log into an application with your Facebook account, the application will only be able to access the public parts of your profile by default.
