Facebook has been testing a Rewards feature in its flagship mobile application, which enables users to scan personalized QR codes while shopping in stores to redeem discounts or bonuses.
The social network confirmed its test of the Rewards feature to Josh Constine of TechCrunch, saying:
To help businesses continue to connect with customers where they are, we’re running a small test that enables people to use the Facebook app to collect and redeem Rewards when they make a purchase at a participating store.
