Facebook appears to be testing a feature that enables users to send cash gifts to their friends and family.
The Next Web director of social media Matt Navarra shared screenshots of the “Red Envelope” feature via tweet:
Responses to Navarra’s tweet indicated that the feature is identical to one offered by Chinese chat application WeChat.
A Facebook spokesperson would only tell Social Pro Daily, “We’re always testing new product experiences but there’s nothing specific to talk about at this time.”
