Facebook vice president of messaging products David Marcus announced in a post Wednesday that the social network added a transportation option to the messaging application’s menu, enabling users to request Uber cars, receive updates on drivers’ status and notify friends, all within Messenger.

Marcus added that for a limited time, the first ride using the feature is free, up to $20. He wrote:

I’m very excited to announce the launch of our transportation platform—to get you where you need to go faster, with your friends.
