Facebook and Instagram users searching for terms related to QAnon will be directed to credible resources from the Global Network on Extremism and Technology starting Wednesday.
The social network said in an update to an August Newsroom post that this marks the latest expansion of its Redirect Initiative to help combat violent extremism.
GNET is the academic research network of the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism.
Facebook ramped up its actions against QAnon in August, banning or imposing restrictions against several groups, pages, accounts and ads on the social network and Instagram.
