Facebook added a new option that allows users to stop notification dots from appearing on the shortcuts in their navigation bars when using its flagship mobile application. Our guide will show you how this works.

Step 1: Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap “Settings & Privacy.”
Step 3: Tap “Settings.”
Step 4: Scroll down to the “Notifications” section and tap “Notification Dots.”
Step 5: Tap the toggle to the right of any shortcut for which you no longer wish to see notification dots.
You can also turn off notification dots for the individual shortcuts in your navigation bar by tapping and holding on a shortcut and then tapping “Turn off notification dots.”
