Facebook Is Giving Its Users Several Tricks (and Treats) for Halloween

Halloween features are here for Facebook Camera, Facebook Live and even Messenger

Halloween was one of the top 10 holidays for 2016 in terms of Facebook posts, so the social network is releasing a pumpkin patch full of new features for Halloween 2017.

The social network said in an email to Social Pro Daily that superheroes, villains and cartoon characters dominated the list of costumes being discussed, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Captain America, Batgirl and Darth Vader.

Facebook users may begin seeing messages in their News Feeds (pictured above) wishing them a Happy Halloween and alerting them to more than one-dozen “spooky masks and frames” that are available via Facebook Camera.

There is also another treat (or is it a trick?) within Facebook Camera—an interactive game in which users attempt to escape a haunted house by hopping up the walls.
