Facebook Messenger Is Adding a Home Button to Help Users Keep Track of Conversations

Highlights favorite friends and birthdays

Facebook is giving Messenger what everyone—and everything—needs: a home.

At the WIRED Business Conference this morning in New York, the social network announced it's adding a Home button to the messaging app as an anchor for sending and receiving messages.

The new Home button, which will appear in the bottom right corner of Messenger, will become a place to see the most recent messages along with a new "Favorites" section focused on the most frequently messaged users.
