Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced Tuesday that the social network now has more than 2 billion monthly users.
Facebook said in its first-quarter earnings report last month that it had 1.936 billion monthly users as of March 31, so it was just a matter of time.
Product director Mike Nowak and product manager Guillermo Spiller said in a Newsroom post that other monthly milestones include more than 175 million uses of the Love Reaction, more than 800 million likes and more than 1 billion people using groups, and they introduced “several personalized experiences” that the social network will launch “over the coming days”:
