Instagram rolled out three updates to its IGTV long-form video platform last week.
Creators using the feed preview option for their videos can now select the 1:1 crop of the thumbnail for those videos, as well as the 5:4 crop when previewing vertical videos on Instagram’s feed.
Instagram said the upload flow for IGTV videos remains unchanged until the point where creators select “Post a Preview.” When this option is toggled on, they will see two new options: “Edit Preview” and “Edit Profile Cover.”
Choosing Edit Preview will enable them to determine which 5:4 section of their video will be displayed in the Instagram feed.
