Canadian Privacy Commissioner Holding Press Conference This Morning on Facebook

The Privacy Commissioner of Canada, Jennifer Stoddart, voiced concerns last month over Facebook’s compliance with Canadian privacy laws after a report by the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic was critical of some of Facebook’s practices. At the time, Facebook said several of the issues have already been resolved, and that additional updates would be coming soon to “address any remaining concerns.”

Now, after a month of “discussion and negotiations with Facebook,” Stoddart is planning to hold a news conference this morning to announce the actions it and Facebook are taking.
