Can Pages Save Facebook Stories?

Facebook Stories have not caught on the way Instagram’s version of the feature has

Facebook pages will soon be a part of Facebook Stories Facebook

Facebook pages will get the next crack at breathing life into Facebook Stories.

The social network announced Thursday that pages will be able to create Facebook Stories, with the feature rolling out over the next month via iOS and Android.

Page administrators with access to the feature can go to their pages’ Timelines via their mobile devices and click the “Create Story” button to get started.

Just as with Facebook Stories for users, pages’ Facebook Stories will appear for 24 hours, and they will not appear on pages’ Timelines or in News Feed unless page admins choose to post them to those locations.

Product manager Amy Sun said in an email to Social Pro Daily, “We’ve been listening to our community and working to make it fast, fun and easy for people and pages to create Stories on Facebook. Over the coming month, pages will be able to create Stories to share with the people who follow them.”

Facebook began testing Stories with select iOS and Android users in Ireland in January, and the social network expanded that testing to Chile, Vietnam and Greece in March, before rolling the feature out globally later that month.

However, Facebook Stories have not caught on the way Instagram’s version of the feature has, so the social network: David Cohen is editor of Adweek's Social Pro Daily.
