BuzzFeed's Tasty Is Selling a Smart Cooktop That Connects to Its New Recipe App

The cooktop, which is basically just a fancy hot plate that can track the surface temperature of a pan or pot and the internal temperature of the food, is now available for pre-order. The Tasty One Top can handle almost any form of cooking: pans, pots, slow cooking, sous vide and more. Additionally, it gives you notifications when it's time to flip your food and when it's perfectly done. Every Tasty video and recipe, nearly 1,700 in total, is available on the app, which allows users to favorite and save recipes based on preference. The app will feature videos, shareable ingredient lists and swipeable, interactive versions of recipes. Recipes can be searched by such criteria as occasion, ingredients, dietary needs and speed for a customizable experience. At $179, The Tasty One Top is one of the most affordable smart cooktop devices on the market and connects to your phone via Bluetooth.
